- Check whether the crimping applicator is clean and worn. Clean the applicator and replace worn ones if necessary.
- Check whether the crimping applicator is clean and worn. Clean the applicator and replace worn ones if necessary.
- Load the appropriate applicator.
- Load the terminals into the applicator so that the first terminal is above the anvil rightly.
- Cycle crimping machine by complete a complete cycle manually to ensure a smooth crimping process. If it is not smooth, remove the applicator and check the closing height. Turn to step 3.
- Check that the applicator is aligned or not. Check the indentation from the anvil at the bottom of the terminal. Check whether the extrusion is symmetrical and whether the crimping is in the center. If it is asymmetry or not centered, align the tool, and then go to step 5.
- Check that the terminal feeder feeds the next terminal directly above the anvil or not. If not, adjust the terminal feeder and go to step 5.
- Replace all previously removed protective devices. (comply with all safety regulations listed in the operating procedures for crimping machines and / or crimping tools).
- Crimp terminal samples.
- Evaluate the tail-cutting length and crimping trumpet mouth. If you need to adjust, disconnect the power supply and remove the protective device, and adjust the feeding position. Manually cycle the crimping machine and check the feeding finger’s position and go to step 7.
- Evaluate conductor position. If you need to adjust, disconnect the power supply and remove the protective device. Adjust the wire stop of semi-automatic machine or the crimping position of automatic wire processing equipment.Go to step 8.
- Check the position of the insulation crimping. Adjust the stripping length if necessary, crimp new samples, and then go to step 11.
- Adjust the crimping height of the insulation so that the crimping of the insulation does not touch the wire conductor.
- Crimp terminal samples.
- Measure the crimping height of the wire conductor(if applicable) and compare it with the specification. Cut off the power supply and remove the protective device if necessary. Adjust the crimping height of the conductor, install the protective device back, connect the power supply, and then go to step 14.
- To conduct a tensile test. If the test is unqualified, please refer to the troubleshooting method.
- Adjust the crimping of the insulation.
- Crimp terminal samples.
- Evaluate insulation crimping. Cut off the power supply and remove the protective device if necessary.Adjust the crimping height of the insulation, install the protective device back, connect the power supply, and then go to step 18.
- Measure the crimping height and compare it with the specification. Cut off the power supply and remove the protective device if necessary. Adjust the crimping height of the wire conductor, install the protective device back, connect the power supply, and then go to step 18.
- Record the measurement results.
During the operation, always ensure safety.
